NTC Powertrain named as finalist in Export Awards

NTC Powertrain has been named as finalists for the NSW Premiers Export Awards for 2009. NTC Executives recently attended the NSW state finalist reception where CEO Mr Richard Tamba received the finalist certificate.  Mr Tamba commented that developing an export orientated technology company had been extremely challenging and being named as a finalist was great recognition for the hard work put in by the NTC team.  NTC are finalists in a number of categories;

-          Small to Medium Services Award

-          NSW Asian Exporter

-          Western Sydney Exporter

-          NSW Innovation in Export Strategy

 

Winners of any of these categories are immediately entered into the National Awards, winners of which are then entered into the Prime Ministers Export Award finals.

As a tier one, advanced transmission technology business primarily focussed on the automotive industry. NTC has had to deal with the uncertainty brought about by the Global Financial Crisis which has particularly hurt the European and US car industries a fluctuating currency and naturally the distance from our major markets. “At the end of the day, customers are looking to mitigate investment risk, have the latest technology and have a long term relationship with a reliable engineering partner.  NTC understands this and continues to strive to meet and exceed our customer expectations, our core values and foundation of growth for our business,” said Mr Tamba.  

NTC’s key expertise is in developing Automatic Transmissions (AT’s), Dual Clutch Transmissions (DCT/DSG), Automated Manual Transmissions (AMT), Hybrid Systems (Electric and Hydraulic), Manual Transmissions (MT) and Transfer Cases (XT).

Innovative and many patented solutions have enabled NTC to show significant growth as a developer of transmission for high volume mass production from concept to start of production. This includes the design and engineering, prototype manufacture, testing of the prototype, electromechanical controls and development of the control software.

 

Prototype are installed, tested and calibrated by NTC and then prepared for production. Additional services include functional audits, industry benchmarking, warranty investigations, failure analysis, production plant design and project management.
